Fern Lodge is back to back to Barnhourie Farm (non-working) and has its own separate entrance overlooking the orchard so we can both enjoy some privacy.
It comprises of a small but fully equipped kitchen with hob, grill, and oven (for coffee lovers ,yes, there's a cafetiere!) It has a stable door opening out onto your seating area, bird feeders, and fire-pit. A microwave oven is available upon request for those of you who dont want to cook.
A fully tiled shower room, complete with a bespoke sink unit. A lounge, with french doors that open out onto the orchard for the summer months, and an electric wood-burning stove to keep you cozy in the cooler months. It also is an ideal viewing place to spot the wealth of wildlife in the ancient woodland garden - red squirrels,foxes, badgers, mink, , nuthatches, tree creepers, families of wrens, and watershrews....a real wildlife retreat!
The bedroom has a stunning view of Bainloch hill in the winter and ancient woodland in the summer, including our 'Grand Old Oak' who is 400 years old. It has the added bonus of being designed to accommodate couples who prefer twin beds or a super-king bed for those who don't - either of which can be made up accordingly.Hairdryer supplied.
The property has full central heating, triple glazing, WiFi.
It also has a TV,DVD player, a selection of films, books, and games. For those who want to plug in their laptop to a large screen, there is an HDMI cable.
As well has taking a stroll through our 2.5 acres you can enjoy your own private patio area and fire-pit and look forward to evenings toasting marshmallows ,star gazing and waiting for the foxes and badgers to pass through the garden.Our feeders are well stocked which attracts Nuthatches,Siskins,Woodpeckers,Long-tailed tits,Linnets,Goldfinches etc
